First off, as explained in my original post, I don't have the fake clients plugin running anymore. Also, I don't think having 6 fake clients put my server at the "extreme bottom". Then again, the purpose of this post wasn't to debate the fake clients plugin, it was to emphasis the fact that Valve support is nothing but drones and don't know what they're talking about.
Either that or Valve doesn't really delist servers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Colebourne" <[email protected]> To: "Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list" <[email protected]> Cc: "steve colebourne" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, May 30, 2009 8:41:26 AM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: Re: [hlds] Valve doesn't delist servers according to support... It really depends what you deem fair. It was explained in the blog post that the only servers getting delisted are those at the extreme bottom end of the scale. The system was developed to catch people who were poorly advertising their servers, and in particular, running fake clients. Given that, your objection to being delisted seems to have little weight, having said that you have fake clients running on your server. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
