Thanks for the tidbit of incorrect knowledge. I can't think of any times where Valve changed a naming schema that was completely off the rocker.
On a more constructive note, I found that the game files use left4dead2. # ls bin hl2 hlds_steamgames.vdf left4dead2 logs platform srcds_linux srcds_run steam_appid.txt So its definitely possible its going to be left4dead2.
