The only port I forward is 27015, and my server is on the steam list just fine. I run three servers on the same box, and you simply use the -port 27015 on the command line. Or -port 27016, etc. BTW, you should open 27015, not 27500, as that is the default port hlds uses.

example, I start my op4 servers like this

D:\HLserver\GearBoxPrivateBeach\hlds.exe -game gearbox -console

d:\HLserver\GearBoxAllMaps\hlds.exe -game gearbox -console -port 27016

The first one defaults to port 27015, so I don't need a -port on the command line.

There are other ports, but I don't bother to open them - just the one port works good enough.

Hi

I put up my SRCDS server behind my firewall. The server is on port 27500. I opened up TCP/UDP 27500 in the firewall. People are able to connect to my server, but only via the console.. connect ip:port. If they add it to their favorites it seems STEAM can't connect to the server. Do I need to open anything extra in my firewall?

If there are additional ports that needs to be opened, can I customize those ports to each server? Say I have two physical machines each running one game server, but only one public IP.. So I NAT the ext ip:27500 to int.ip 1:27500 and ext ip:27600 to int. ip2:27600.. Can I put a param in my startup line to dictate these ports to each game server, so my NAT would work (as I obviously can't nat one ext ip:port to two int ip:ports)..

Thanks
klr
