Thanks for that link! It's still not entirely clear how the non-MvM
quickplay/matchmaking system works, however.

I'm mostly curious about NON-Mvm servers, so I wonder whether "beta" is still
beta or is actually everybody.

So, on a normal TF2 map:

tf_mm_servermode 0 == tf_server_identity_disable_quickplay 1 ?

I'm confused, because the MvM-specific kb article says: "A value of 0 will opt
your server out of all matchmaking (Default)"

Which might be true for MvM, but isn't Quickplay aka matchmaking the "default"
for normal maps unless opted-out of? I thought 0 was just opting out of the
beta.

tf_mm_servermode 1 == non-mvm quickplay

So instead of by default all servers being quickplay-enabled, now only those
servers setting this variable will be quickplay matchmade? Do all servers
wishing to participate in matchmaking/quickplay now need to set this variable
to participate?

tf_mm_servermode 2 == MvM only mode, only appropriate for MvM servers.

If set on a server running a non-MvM map, this would be ignored, I assume. Or
at least it's intended never to be used except on those MvM servers which want
to be in the quickplay pool.

I'd still love a full document from Valve describing the various
PvP/MvM/quickplay/not permutations and what they want cvars and servertags to
be.
