I too can confirm this. We have old servers running with about 80mB use of memory, but the new servers are using ~200mB. But I've experienced faster boot time with CS:S (not much though), but it takes a bit longer time to join a server.

For sure... My 10 slots CSS server has always ran using 100 MB, and
now it's 200 MB... 100% of increase.

Still can't see any gain with SteamPipe, untill now only problems...

I can confirm about 200mb increase in memory usage on our 32 player servers. This is at startup on linux, compared to non steampipe CSS.

CPU usage is the same. I can't see any performance gains from the steampipe update.

Those are known bugs and already reported. As for memory consumption, it
has always been around that mount with CSS.

The SDK, some particles, and many other things are busted as well...

Thanks,
Kyle.

No. You absolutely must download the new server via SteamCMD

Well, is there a way to just update the old server?

Or I really need to update and transfer the old files like
addons, sounds, maps, etc, to the new files structure?

Trying to update the server with -verify_all it just
downloads the new files...

Is it correct?

I already saw this trend with the beta.
