That may be the final step ... but I think most of us (I don't claim to
speak for us all <G>)  .. would be happy if it would redirect the user
either auto-magicaly (using via windows api or even directly like
"netscape.exe <url>"), or at least give the user a message on the console.
Something like:
"Map cs_assault_upc was not found.  Your options are :
Press: 1  - If you would like to download it from the server
Press: 2  - If you would like to download it from an external mirror (usually much 
faster)

At which point if the user presses 1, the client beings to download the
map as usual.   But, if they press 2, they _could_ get a menu like:

"Excellent .. asking the server what mirrors are avalible ..
 <number> Mirrors found.  Please chose a mirror to begin downloading ...
 Press: 1   - For <url 1>
 etc etc ...

The download doesn't even _need_ to spawn an external web browser .. for
now, the client/server could only support direct file links.  So the
client could stay connected to the server like it does now, and download
the file in the back while providing a progress bar'stuff ...
