I highly recommend Debian. I am using it, and have been using for 3 months and I love it. It is a nice flavor of Liinux. I have tried Red Hat and Mandrake, and I was a disappointed with both distros. Debian is easy to install and setup. I suggest it to anyone who is willing to try Linux for the first time. If you wanna try out my server I can put it up for a few hours tonight and let you all try it.
Dan PS I am using Potato on an AMD Duron 800 512MB of RAM. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Evan Mart" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, November 04, 2001 11:08 AM Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Which distribution of linux should I use... > * [cOwS.dk]~UrbaN~ ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) [011104 09:04]: > > I have downloaded these 3 distributions of Linux: > > - Debian v2.2r3 > > As a debian user I must speak up and say that if you try out debian, > you should use it for longer than a month to really get a good > opinion of it, i.e., get more than a month of total active usage out > of it and you will be impressed.
