Ive just moved from mandrake to redhat, purly cause of the gui login thats
force on you in the latest mandrake unless u recompile the kernel and I dont
have time for  that atm :).

Redhats fine if you control the install properly and cut out half the crap.
Linux is only as secure as the firewall script you run on it so as long as
you know what your doing your fine :)

I highly recommend Debian.  I am using it, and have been using for 3 months
and I love it.  It is a nice flavor of Liinux.  I have tried Red Hat and
Mandrake, and I was a disappointed with both distros.  Debian is easy to
install and setup.  I suggest it to anyone who is willing to try Linux for
the first time.  If you wanna try out my server I can put it up for a few
hours tonight and let you all try it.
