Having stuff like log on in the server.cfg probably isn't enough, but need to be there at HLDS startup. Halfd is a Mod that (unlike metamod etc) doesn't "sit inside" the engine but "wraps it". It checks much of what's going in the game on via the logs, so things messing with the logs will surely not be a good thing.
