Well sorry for the delay,

I wish I had time to reply sooner. I obviously didn't make my self clear in
my 1st ever post.
So here it goes, I agree with the move to close the hole. I'm sure if it
hasn't been exploited already, it would be. The point I was trying get
across was that any backlash felt over this relatively non intrusive
correction to an obvious bug removal was due mostly to the anti-cheat issue.
If it wasn't so widely know that exec is the HLG access point, I don't think
you would have heard a word. It is simply the high level of frustration felt
by the many non-CS MOD admins that caused a knee jerk reaction. I'm sure
once they examine the ramifications and realize that it doesn't affect the
HLG operation "my assumption", the issue will die.
