You can also accomplish running windowed by making the Registry adjustments
shown in my desktop shot here:

http://www.hardwarefreak.com/hlds/mydtop.jpg

Set the value of the following:

EngineAllowWindowed     1
EngineModeWindowed      1

Also, make sure you change EngineModeH and EngineModeW to a height and width
that will not take up the whole screen.  I'm assuming this is the end result
of the "-win" switch, but I didn't know about "-win" when I wanted to run
windowed.  So, I went registry hunting, and came up with this method.  Note
that I currently play full screen.
