Ever tried getting support on their forums? Only thing support about them
is their name is "Support Forums"

You usually get some UA member giving you some sort of smart ass, non
helpful reply or nothing at all.

While this list may not be the place for this kind of stuff, it IS the only
place you are going to get any sort of intelligent response. I've yet to
have one issue resolved on those forums and 90% of the time, they don't
even get addressed there. Posts sit with no replies forever until they fall
off the front page. Here, however, I have never had 1 problem that hasn't
been solved thanks to the helpful people on this list.

Here's some examples for you.

I posted over there a couple of days ago about the OGC detection.
Specifically that I was having some scenarios come up that were not listed
in the manual. My question was whether what I was seeing was a legit
response that wasn't mentioned in the manual or if the people were indeed
using OGC. I get a couple of "me too" people wanting to know the answer
because they were also getting the same response I was and some UA guy
comes in and pastes the page out of the manual in his post. That was in. No
clarification of any sort. No "This is the way it is, if it isn't this
their cheating" or "I'll have someone look into it and get back with you"
or anything of that sort. I had said I had read the manual and what do I
get? A smartass UA person pasting the page out of the manual in my post.
Yea, that's real helpful.

A while back I made another post about the wallhack unloading after a
couple of rounds. No response for days and then someone gives a config
change to make. I made the change, no difference and that was that. No
"This is a known bug. It will be addressed in a future release" or anything
of the sort. Couple of weeks later they release the next version with my
problem specifically addressed. Obviously they knew it was a known bug but
rather than address it, they just left me twisting in the wind. I wasted a
fair amount of time trying to resolve something on my end that I assumed
(Yea, I know all about ASS U ME) was a problem I was having and not a
support issue with HLGuard because they didn't bother addressing my post in
their forums.

Where's the "support" in either of those scenarios? At least here you have
people running the same things that can compare notes.

FWIW, I appreciate the effort these guys are making. I've dealt with some
of the UA guys before and they have been terrific. However, the ones I have
dealt with in passing rarely respond to anything on those forums. I see
them more on the OGC forums than I do the UA forums and I'd guess that
asking support questions on the OGC forums is probably more off topic than
doing so here :)

For the person that called me a n00b, please look up sarcasm in the dictionary.
