Sib,
Aggreed, HLGuard's wallhack is not 100%. But what in life is? I
see you mention several admins, have you yourself tested it? I have. And
it works against *ALL* GL-based WH just has Bob/HoundDawg say in their
WH explanation (http://www.unitedadmins.com/HLGuard_WH.aspx). Yes you
can still see people through some boxes, and with certain wireframe
hacks, as well as near the egdges of walls and doors. But the
effectiveness of the WH, when compared to servers not running HLGuard WH
block, is reduced. I'm sure Valve's GL-block will be more effective, as
they have more tools at their disposal being better integrated with the
engine. Before you start complaining, you should test it yourself.

Am I the only one that is starting to feel that HLGuard has been
rendered useless since the EXEC removal? I've seen 3 aimbot warnings, on
the same person, in the past 2-3 months and that's it. What wallhacks
does this WH block supposedly stop? I know several admins that have
tested the effectiveness of HLGuard only to walk away disappointed and
with a decreased feeling of confidence that it's even worth having
installed. They tested several multi-hacks and everyone ran flawlessly,
no WH blocks, nothing. Again, I'm not trying to trigger a flame war, but
if the mem/cpu usages can't be justified, as with any other
mod/plugin/program, then it needs to go. Hopefully someone can shed some
light here, I'd like to believe it's actually doing something useful.

Cheers
-sib
