No, I don't have experience with that, but I've been thinking of doing the
same.

To consider:

Will there be pages on your web server that will demand too much processing
time ? (ASP, scripts, actions that will require too much cpu power)

Are those server going to be VERY popular ?

The key word for WEB server in the past, when there was only java and html,
was disk speedx, disk speed and disk speed. So, expect to have very intense
disk access, if your hosted sites are popular.

Also, Apache - if it's the case - is a beast when it comes to memory, I've
heard.

Good luck and let us know.

Hi Guys,

I am planning on buying a new box. Dual AthlonXP 2100+, 1,5 GB mem. etc
Now my questions is, is it possible to run some cs servers AND a webserver
with several sites on this machine.
Or will running a webserver on the same box cause trouble?

Any of you got experience with this?

Greetz.
