Yes that was exactly the case. The analysis of the hlds.core gave me a very
long output of several libs being looked for at /lib, which does not exist
on a FreeBSD system, since they are located at /compat/linux/lib
Creating a /lib link to /compat/linux/lib seems to have solved the case
for now... more than 24 hours w/o any core dump, under relatively heavy
load. This was not happening before.
