->Subject: RE: [hlds_linux] Unusual Error for me - Any thoughts?
->
->
->I have seen a couple of suggestions on this in the past.
->1. reinstall
->2. check for corrupted memory
->
->When I ran into the problem I went through a combination of the two and it
->went away.
->
->I am thinking that the reinstall was the one that did it... but try that
->first before you go looking at ram. There are memory testing programs for
->Linux. Can't remember the one I used tho.
->

memtest86 is a bootable linux floppy that immediately tests for memory
errors. Has worked reliably for me in the past.
