yeah, the 2.5.x kernels use a different style sort of... so its just a matter of changing the boot file to point to the new 2.5 kernel instead. its designed not to conflict w/ 2.4.x kernels, even to the degree of being in /usr/src/linux-beta vs /usr/src/linux
plus, you will still need to use the -pingboost 3 / sys_ticrate xxx to get over 100 fps in the server. depending on whether that is important to you or not... kev ->-----Original Message----- ->From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ->[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of ->[EMAIL PROTECTED] ->Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2003 6:08 PM ->To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ->Subject: RE: [hlds_linux] Kernel Recompile Recommendations -> -> ->Couple questions about the 2.5 kernel. -> ->If it is recompiled with the 2.5 kernel and it becomes unstable ->can it just ->be reverted back to the 2.4.x one just by switching the line in the boot ->file like if we had just upgraded to another 2.4 kernel?
