are you sure you want to get rid of your MTA? It can be a nice ting to have.
Say for your intrusion detection software, cron ... etc.

But if you feel like it go a head rpm -e glibc --nodeps

Box1$ rpm -qva | wc -l
    548
Box2$ rpm -qva | wc -l
    476
Box3$ rpm -qva | wc -l
    551
I roll my own rpms from time to time. Box2 is a new install and haven't had
the chance to grow like the two others.
