rgr, it could very well be the cable, but at that speed, I would absolutely
go out and buy a p2-500 or something else like that used (or hand-me-down
from a friend) and throw up something like http://www.smoothwall.org etc
etc.

linksys are good for the average joe just surfing the internet, but I would
put much faith in em as for what you are using your connection for.
