This would because some of us have spent allot of time working on an issue that you think does not exist. You act like people are just making it up or are so inexperienced they do not know what to do. Obviously, your testing is limited to 18 players and a single processor box. Extremely limited experience to say the least. >So I used "big words". Shame on me! And I'd rather >find a solution than whine! Oh how terrible! I had no trouble understanding what you wrote, its just not common to see someone using a dictionary when writing to the list. The "whining" part you mention sounds like typical reply from some dimwit in a counter-strike server talking smack. Maybe you should have looked up in your little dictionary the difference in definition between "whining" and "facts" or "discussion". >If you know so much, then why do your servers perform so poorly? *crickets* I be willing to bet any of my 18 player servers would match or exceed your player traffic and "regulars". My servers have been full since the days of under 1000 CS servers and it hasn't changes now that there are 30,000. Have their been some issues in the last 2 weeks? Yes, due to multiple server reboots from kernel testing. (you know..actually trying to help find a solution..imagine that) Players come right back, so they must be happy either way. I never said gameplay was bad. Simple facts are enough. When a dual 2.2 xeon can barely run three 20 player servers at acceptable level of usage and playability..... there is a problem. You do not need to be a developer to know that, or a supreme being like yourself; to figure that out. >It seems that the most vocal of you clearly don't want solutions, >you just want to hear yourselves b1tch Again, wtf are you talking about. Only 20-60 messages a day going thru this list and a lot of work by people like James and Jeremy and the guy who put the database page together. What solution have you offered? What data or information have you given to this list that has any value...other than your superior intellect and knowledge . Go back to trolling now please. thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "bad ping" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, September 29, 2003 6:01 PM Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] The CPU usage issue.. what should I go with: Linux or Win32? > Daniel Stroven, > > It seems that I have struck a nerve.
