I fixed this on my freebsd boxes by adding '#include <sys/time.h>' to
the top of the includes. I've been using these scripts for ages and love
them. Note if your running them on freebsd and don't have the same
access to /proc, I switched to use this gathering method:

#CPU=`echo $DATA | awk '// {print $8}'`
CPU=`ps -auxwww | grep hlds_i686 | grep -v grep | awk '{print $3}'`

Adjust the grep as needed.
