If you are planning to compile it yourself for Linux, then you are good to go. Use it. This one is scheduled for release but hasn't been announced officially, yet. Under Linux it compiles, under Windows there is still a define missing which needs to be fixed.
Binaries have not yet been released. They are pending an investigation if it is really necessary to have two different versions for servers using the old or new HL engine interface.
If you still have a Linux 3110 CS server running, I'd be very interested in hearing whether the "Steam" version of Metamod (default, new engine interface) runs on that or if it crashes.
