I assume that is a joke
>>Some people buy armor. :) As is the bullet registry in CS:S. Counterstrike is one of the best games around, Scrath that, IS THE BEST GAME AROUND. It has been around for 5 years at least and people still play it in hundreds of thousands. Big competitions are held for large amounts of cash and prizes all over the world. The people at the top of the game are actually very "Talented" at playing the game, earning a living doing so. All the above will not and cannot happen to source unless the "Hit and Miss" bullet reg and gameplay issues are sorted out. I didn't feel I payed for CS as I downloaded as a free mod to the original halflife, It is easily the best game I have ever played. However I do feel I have paid for Source and I feel like it is in beta and needs lots of work. There is no doubt it is still in beta. Gameplay online is not anywhere near what is expected of an online FPS. Sporadic bullet reg, Rubber banding, Interp Issues and Strange Player model running are all ruining a game that could have been amazing. (Interp) I don't know how many times I have ran round a corner yet to find myself shot half a second later and dieing on the floor before the corner. Remember the old interp setting on CS 1.5? (Rubber Banding) This usually happens when u do something fast while the server is busy, ie jumping out into the middle of a gunfight. You find yourself put back to where u where before u jumped or mid jump or anything but where u expected to be. Running round a corner then you get pulled back to in front of the corner. Also known as warping. (Sporadic Bullet Reg) Well this is the weakest part of the whole game (For me). As I said before, totally random and not what has come to be expected of HL, CS and Valve. Watch some skilled players playing CS 1.6 with awp snapshotting and AK Headshotting. Watch a skilled player take out 2 fully loaded enemies with a pistol. Non of this is possible on source. You may say "It's a different game" but you can do all of this on other quality Online FPS's. (Player Models) Has no one else noticed that the player models look bandy and good awful while running or side stepping. As sidestepping is probably the most common movement other than running forwards I cannot believe how bad they look in game. The graphics look amazing but are totally ruined by the semi "moon-walk" sidestep that models currently do. Bob doesn't seem as frequent or as pronounced, players haven't got as much control over the model. Wave files are missing as my console seems to love to inform me and the whole game lags when certain sounds are played. They are not caching either as this happens multiple times per game with the same sound. I have tried this on 4 PC's (minimum spec 3.4ghz AMD 64bit with Radeon 9800xt 512MB DDR) all with low quality sound fx. This is happening to all eleven people I have asked. Server Side. No Sys_ticrate setting. This was used for server admins to "tune" there server to the hardware and available CPU resources available based on what they wanted from the game itself. I would happily trade off more cpu usage for better reg / gameplay. Sorry for the lengthy email but I would like to know if any of these issues are being addressed or will be addressed at some time in the future. Will there be continued development or is that it for the game? Also can I ask if CS1.6 and CZ will be shutdown in the future?
