Correct, left mouse click or whatever it's setup as. Quake3 (possibly 2 and 1 as well?), and any q3 based game I've played in MP mode are quite the same, even to the point where the word ready appears next to a players name when they +attack to show that they're ready. If all players do it, the map changes, if they all don't, then you can still chat.
