yup. big hosters complaining. alligator tears for them.

somebody at VALVe stuck that important steam.inf file back in the distro
list so "winders" hosters simply need to keep rerunning hlsupdate as
many times as it takes to get the magic files pulled down.

windows.... sheesh....

But you understand what I mean quite obviously. :)

Unfortunately this list all too often hots up with valve abuse when a
few 'big providers' go and upgrade ALL of their servers only to find
they've got a couple of show-stopping problems. Completely avoidable as
a problem if you run more than one machine and an update is released --
test it on one box first, preferably not a production one. Anyhow...

I don't charge anyone a dime. Must be why my clients are so happy.
My clients are all the players that join the servers I run and a few
clans and leagues I choose to provide free servers to.

So I am not a "big provider" making money off of VALVe.
I am just using some of my good fortune to give back to the gaming
community.

Or I could spend the money on good scotch and cuban cigars and let the
"big providers" continue to make money off of VALVe.
hmmmmm.....
;-)
