I think it's fair to say that VAC for 1.6 is dead. It's been months since the last update and Valve has made no comment whatsoever regarding it's future. Sadly, in my opinion, VAC was a failure. It never worked that well to begin with and despite Valve's pledges of commitment, I only saw it as a half hearted attempt at stopping cheating.
