Hi, not true!  I have no .res files at all.
The following quote from mani's page  ".res files are no longer required
!!" says it all
The latest version does not need .res files

res files have nothing to do with playback. All they do is tell you
what files you need for that map. Once you have them, they're just

I have never said that .res files has something to do with playback ... only the files to upload are listed! And to let Mani-Admin work, you have to place all sound files into every res file to ensure that a joined player gets all the sound files!
