What model Opteron SC are you using currently? What model DC are you

yeah, you're right and I stand corrected, 89 watts vs 110
watts. I guess what I was thinking of was their heat
output didn't prevent them from going in any socket 939
board that's followed AMD's specs all along. Because they
still match earlier design specs in that regard.
heh, it still makes them an incrediably attractive option.
Quad CPU performance in a dual CPU chassis, space and
thermal design.
The price tag does offer a little bit of sticker shock, but
thats easily overcome when you look at the equlivalent
performance quad-cpu box.
I've got a pair of them sitting next to me, hopefully the
1ru chassis with a DC capable BIOS wll be turning up next
week. The BIOS in the current 1ru chassis is having a little
bit of a freakout at the extra cores ;-(
