I use the i686 binary. I can put 3 to 4 completely full CS 1.6 servers on
a dual Xeon machine with Hyperthreading, plus other background tasks that
aren't as active/intensive. When I still ran four games on one machine, I
never saw more than 70% utilization total, though the numbers are suspect
due to Hyperthreading. 70% came from using the 'top' command and hitting
the key that collapses the CPU(s) information into a total rather than
individual units. I never got about 4.0 load average and average 2.0-2.5
during busy evenings. Each process however claims to have anywhere from
30-80% of "one" CPU, but as someone said, those numbers are completely
suspect due to hyperthreading.

I'll try to get you some "stats" information when I get home from work. I
leave the ticrate alone so most I'll see is 100fps.

I can tell you that I am NOT experiencing this issue. I did however have
to update HLSW to work with the latest query changes. But the servers
don't just "stop" responding to my knowledge. However, I do restart my
game servers every morning. When you say "for a while", how long are you
talking?
