It IS your kernel timer, and this IS common accross 2.4 kernels who'se default timer resolution is 100Hz.
You need to lift this, most people go the whole order of magnetude to give a max of around 500fps or so. hope my accurate statement won't be ignored for foolish attempts such as playing with the tickrate this time. DER_MASCHINE wrote:
Hi Kyle, sorry for the typo.Kernelversion is 2.4.27. Varying the tickrate doesn't seem to have any effect on server fps. Still get something like this: CPU 46.00 In 28751.21 Out 36167.59 Uptime 211 Users 6 FPS 49.32 Players 10 Any further ideas? Greetz maschine Is your 2.6 kernel custom made or is it what came with the release? Try experimenting with -tickrate value on the cmd line and watch the relashionship when you issue a stats command :) - Kyle _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
