If it doesn't crash then try getting a uncompiled version of metamod and compile it yourself. Its not that hard. It usally runs better on your machine. If you want my opinon. BSD is not a great OS to run HLDS. I'm using debian on my machine. Its great. I had problems with Fedora Core 3 but nothing with Fedora Core 2. CentOS works great with HLDS. And Red Hat 9. Classic and outdate. But probibly the best that runs HLDS. Fedora and CentOS are based off it. So that might be your best bet. If you wont mind, give a link to your debug dumpfile. I think you have to enable that. I forgot how.
