I'm running Mani with these two functions turned on, no problem.
mani_stats 0
mani_stats_write_text_file 0
Had to delete the old dat files first and also remove the mani_logs folder
(see my other email for info on that).

You can use Mani temporarily by doing the following:
(This is tested under RHEL V3 and Mani 1.1.0z).
1) BACKUP YOUR STATS FILES (*.dat)
2) Change your mani_server.cfg lines:
mani_stats 0
mani_stats_write_text_file 0
3) Save the file
4) Start up the server with mani.
**WARNING**
If you do not backup the .dat ranking files, then you will loose all of
your rank data, I suggest backing them up, as I would assume that Mani
will
have a fix that takes care of these problems, then we can just put our
.dat
files back into place and keep going forward.
