As the processes are threads from the main process, it will not use up
three times the memory resources.

Say you have 512MB of RAM. Then you have 4 hlds servers running. Each
using 120MB of RAM. You will end up with 480MB of used RAM. If the
threaded should be added on all of those you will end up with 1440MB of
RAM.

On a normal configured system that would eat up all RAM and all swap and
you probably will be out of memory and certain crashes of hlds.
