Well. There have always been choke. But to the extend of getting from 0 to 5 at start of the round. This is not too uncommon, is documented on several websites and I have seen it since, probably, 1.1 when I started to host hlds-servers. It have then become worse at aprox, if not just at, the same time as valve released their patch for the, at the time, preperation of VAC2 in hlds. I cannot confirm this since I cant roll back and test. I have then discussed somewhat what choke is to the provider and they could think that the current switch is able to produce something that the game could interpret as choke. ie late packets or in router terms 'jitter'. It could be that the move to a new switch will not accomplish anything. The current switch will be out of production when the move is done. They currently pay a lot on special support on that switch since its outdated and not covered in their global support deal. /Bjorn _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
