Thanks for the replies..
Affraid to say -sport does even less in my setup then -steamport does.
It does nothing to be exact.
Sadly taking down other interfaces is not an option on the boxes im
running this on, but thanks for the tip.
If this is indeed a problem for everyone, I'd like to ask: Alfred or
whoever else is listening.. If possible it would be nice if this could
be fixed in a coming update.
If this has to be reported as a bugreport of a different kind i will be
glad to do so.
Just in case it is just me doing something wrong i will post (the
relevant part of) the command i use to start my server:
./srcds_run -game cstrike -ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -port 27015 -steamport
27009 -tv_port 27020 -clientport 27005 -map de_dust2 -maxplayers 16
-tickrate 100
Again.. Thanks for the help on this.. :)

Think thats for port only, and he means IP, or can you set the IP with that?
For us its been bugged for ages, what we have to do to get around this with
steam is take down any other interfaces it could bind to, run the dedicated
server, then up the other interfaces. Very messy, but only way have got it
to work. Afaik steamport was broken as well in a recent release and haven't
heard that its been fixed yet.

Subject: [hlds_linux] binding steamport to ip on multihomed system

Hi,
Does anyone know how to bind the steamport to one IP? Specifying
-steamport does not help for me.. It does succeed in setting the
steamport, but the IP for the port remains 0.0.0.0 <http://0.0.0.0>

[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# netstat -nlut|grep "0 0.0.0.0:27009<http://0.0.0.0:27009>
"
udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:27009 <http://0.0.0.0:27009> 0.0.0.0:*
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]#

All other ports (port, tv_port, clientport) get bound to the IP just
fine. Is there a specific cvar for steam IP?
Thanks..
