Wait-a-minute. Does that mean that the Source Engine uses Internet Explorer to download files via HTTP? That's... dumb, with all due respect. I don't deem IE too dependable and such a course of action only fortifies my opinion of the Source Engine as a Windows-only platform with a proof-of-concept Linux dedicated server package.
I know this statement sounds relatively harsh and I do acknowledge the dedicated server team's massive efforts at writing the dedicated server (very well done, guys!), I won't believe it's further than proof-of-concept until I see the client running on Linux (or Mac OS X, for that matter). </0.02$> ~~ Ondra LuZiFeR wrote:
