        Are you sure the .bsp changes, or could it be a failure in the
md5 hash generator?  If you throw a copy of that file in /usr/games/archive/
and then do a diff on it vs the one in your source folder, does diff show
it's changed?  If so, well we're back to the filesystem.  If not, then what
is the md5 routine calling that might be wonky?
