They are probably just threads which appear as unique processes though
they share the same address space of memory.

If they occupy the same amount of memory they are definitly the same
process.

Would someone mind explaining why there are actually multiple processes
in the first place? My srcds servers seem to have 2 processes per
instance where my hlds servers have 4. Both are running in secure mode.
