Well, to defend Alfred, he have stated it several times before that it is not top priority to get VAC2 to work on 64bit. Allthough the way he wrote it can get interpreted as kind of besserwisser attitude.
Also that kind of language is not getting you anywhere other than to piss someone off. A more concrete and well written letter would have been recieved better from all parts. I also think that valve is doing the right thing around VAC2 for x64. There are several other issues that needs to be addressed. Like make it more playable. I still have not found any joy of playing CS:S, so I stick with CS1.6 instead. And regardless what you say. Valve is still one of the best when it comes to feedback to the community. Allthough I agree that some issues have taken too long to get fixed. I really like the approach on the last beta test. I think its a step to the right decission. Well, you put eight public server offline. Good, more players for us. I think its quite disrespectful towards your 'customers' if you plug the second largest FPS off your list just because you feel mistreated on an issue well discussed in the past. I still host HL1 DM servers for my customers. They still want it, I still provide it. /Bjorn On Wed, 15 Mar 2006, RaynServ wrote: > -- > [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] > Eight 100-tickrate pubs at 32-slots gone.
