This is happening on none updated servers too. My czero server is having problems. It took 6 restarts just to get VAC enabled.
Maybe they don't have enough content distribution points and their network is shafted? [EMAIL PROTECTED] randomly typed the following on 04/20/2006 07:36 PM:
Hi, We stupidly (not learning from our first mistake back in March) rolled out the non compulsory update this morning throughout our network hoping that the strange instances of laggy behaviour would have been fixed. When this was first rolled out clients were able to connect without a problem and the feedback we had back was that the laggy performance was no longer evident. However to my horror several hours later I found the entire network pretty desolate with hardly any users connected and my inbox crammed full of messages from people suggesting they are unable to get on the server and get the following error "Disconnected: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket." Some clients were able to fix this by removing their clientregistry.blob but others (including myself) were not able to. Obviously I'm looking to resolve this problem, I was hoping there may be some way around the issue in order to fix it but I've yet to find one so that leaves me with one alterative - to roll the update back :( Does anyone happen to have a backup copy of the files that were altered in this update?
