Many people have also claimed other such things, but we(company) could
never ever duplicate this.  I would not think that the OS specific code
would run even close to this area of the game server, but I could be
wrong.  Only Alfred or someone else at Valve could really answer this
question.

OTOH, there's a huge server-performance delta between SRCDS on Linux and
Windows, so we cannot offer Linux SRCDS except to our dedicated Linux
customers.  And interestingly with hlds we achieve almost 0 performance
delta between the two platforms.
