Yup that's me, I've been playing HL since Nov 1998 and I've run a server
since Feb, 2002 (WON back then).
I used to play on your HLDM server too, very fun!.
I just moved my HLDM and HL2DM servers to a new Server2003 Intel box at a
datacenter serviced by an OC48, what an incredible difference (esp. compared
to my home DSL line!)... both servers are running as smooth as silk with 12
players max each.

I ran a DOD:S server during the recent free weekend and all three servers
were full (34 players total), the 3.0GHz CPU peaked at ~90% cpu utilization
and no performance or lag problems on the servers at all.
During this first month, the new box has used 158GB of the 1000GB monthly
bandwidth (about 5GB/day) ... I think I might just have enough margin.
I don't think I've ever seen a full accounting of a game server's bandwidth
utilization before so this is very interesting. I don't have webhosting on
the game server box.
My webhosting is also at the same facility, it's used 35GB of the 1000GB
monthly bandwidth during the last 30 days which includes the fast HTTP
downloads so that looks like it's averaging just a little above 1GB/day
right now.

Thanks for the reply. I do notice now that they stop once the player gets
fragged the first time.
Were you around back in the original hlds_l days ? I seem to remember a
qUiCkSiLvEr on the list many years ago.
Thanks again,

Coroner, these are just warnings that happen when a player is killed

They are not a problem as far as running the server is concerned, don't
worry about them.
I do think the message spams the console unnecessarily though.
