Hi all, Recently on one of our servers, we have been getting a lot of complaints from people who are not able to get in on the server, because they receive an error: "Error verifying steam ticket". I have had those myself in the past and normally a restart of steam solves this. For this server however, the problem persists even if they restart their pc completely. So.. For some people (including myself) the server works perfectly fine. For others it just throws them out with "Error verifying steam ticket". The log displays this: L 08/21/2006 - 23:18:26: "NameOf Person<126><STEAM_ID_PENDING><>" connected, address "123.123.123.123:27005" L 08/21/2006 - 23:18:36: "NameOf Person<126><STEAM_ID_PENDING><>" entered the game L 08/21/2006 - 23:18:38: "NameOf Person<126><STEAM_ID_PENDING><Unassigned>" disconnected (reason "Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket")
Seems the server is unable to get their steam ID. Checking the firewall log shows that no packages are being dropped at all. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? I only have the problem on this one server, so I'm sure it is something I did as opposed to a bug.
