My advise: Go to the link directly under your post (http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux) and log in to the mailing list archive with the username and password you were given when you joined this list. Then click the 'Downloadable Version" link for September/October and search/grep that text file for "64 bit" and/or "32 bit". You will find your answer.
