Yes it does.
We are now running the Fedora Core 5 64bit build here with 32bit HLDS
servers.
(used to run the 64bit version, but it's unsupported...)

I have heard that Valve isn't supporting 64bit servers. I think you
need to
use 32bit binaries to get VAC2 support.
