Then you did it always wrong and it was working until the last patch. You
can check it by yourself, you have two tf directories in ~/tf2, one is
~/tf2/tf (wrong one) and one is ~/tf2/orangebox/tf (good one).

Dude, if my script was really THAT messed up I think I would have had
problems trying to update with it starting back in October, not starting
just last night. As I said, this has worked flawlessly for me.
Doesn't matter though. The TF2 servers are shut down now.
