You are correct.  But this is a Linux group, and I was asked what router I
used, so I answered.  I also do other stuff with that Linux system (DNS,
email, DHCP, NTP).

Here in Maryland, as of about 1 year ago, it costs $.15 per kilowatt hour.
So, 50 watts would cost about $5 per month.  So, buying a new WRTG54L (or
similar) may pay for its self the first year.  But I don't know what they
cost, or how much power they require.

Also, if I were not using a PC I would buy a WRTG54L.
