I think a steam client update was released a while ago to relieve the
issues.

I haven't experienced this problem lately.

Generally the problem seems to arrive if a server goes online and gets
registered
after your client and the tickets are out of sync.
Usually the client must re-login and everything is fine after.

Removing the server *.blob will just force steam to re-verify the
installation.
