I agree whole heartedly, especially with lotus.clan and there 25 fake connections as can be seen by this screen grab. http://devilfish.t35.com/lotus.clan.jpg Filling a server in this way doesn't give the client a good gaming experience yet does fill there servers, I have highlighted the only information that I believe to be the SM plugin that they use to create these 25 fake connections sm_ps_version 0.3. Hopefully valve will look into the lotus.clan like they did with the Q.clan and manually remove them too. As a Server administrator with over 5 years of experience I find people like this almost as frustrating as it must be for the clients that join such servers.

Some of these servers have been lying for such a long time, they've amassed enough regulars where they score above valves threshold, which sucks for everyone because their regulars would play anyways, and the newer players still get the crappy join -> huge difference in claimed vs real players -> quit frustrated. As someone said before there is a lot of 'racing to the bottom' between servers operators, and as long as they see that places like Lotus Clan can get away with it, people are going to continue trying to do it. Maybe Valve is planning on another wave of master server list drops right before the sniper update to teach them all a lesson =) I am very happy that they did wipe out a lot of the spamtastic fake servers though. Kudos for that.
