We switched to a x486 Kernel and used the 486-binary and everything seemed to be ok (one or two segfaults here and there but i guess that this is kind of normal for hlds) - the only issue was, that we were not able to use all the 4 GB Ram that we have. So we switched to the standard 686-debian-kernel and still use the 486 binary (with the -binary option). Since we did that we get more segfaults in engine_i486.so and server_i486.so and additional CRC errors with Maps - clients see a message that their maps differes from the servers version. Removal of the maps from the server, reinstalling with steam -update and restart of the game-server temporarily fixes that. Somebody have hints for me/us?
